Personality

Shikoba was purchased from The annual HEWA Elite foal auction and thought it was not meant that Rosendal would buy a horse, the board simply couldn’t just watch and see this boy being sold to somebody else.

Cody is a beautiful stallion with impressive movements and a superior grace in the way he is moving. His walk is the only had thing about him. He walks fast and has a hard time to relax when ridden. He prefers to be on the move. He is no hard horse to ride, he would be one of the calmest stallions RD’s has in the stable and a young rider would have no problem what so ever to ride him. He jumps good and airy and he enjoys bars on the ground and groundwork.

He is one of our trickiest horses to feed in the stable. He is extremely picky with his food. The taste can be wrong, the consictence, the look of it. Anything wrong and he won't eat. He get's tired of food very often also, so he has a running diet, so small things changes over a period, all to remain his interest in the food he is presented.

He also is a pleasure working with. He is social and very lovable and has a pair of brown expressive eyes. He likes to nibble after people and take tiny bits. If he bites hard it’s not his intention, he just wants to be noticed. He has a little hard time learning but once he has practiced enough it sticks to his mind. He is very brave and will do almost anything you ask of him.
Something Cody doesn’t like is when being saddled. He easily gets scratches on his belly and when the girth is tighten this will itch. He will make a fuss out of it and tiptoeing around until you have managed to tighten the girth correctly. Neither does he like to be shaved, he is a very hard horse to keep neat and tidy.

Cody doesn’t like to be ridden indoors. It’s tight, gloomy and dark. He is no indoor horse and prefers big outdoors arenas with lots of space and light. You won’t even be able to ride him through the door to the indoor arena. He will simply stop and refuse to walk any further in.

He is a lovely creature and we hope that either Emma or Sebestjen will compete him in the future once he reach a mature age and has a little more experience.
