Stormeld was feeling a little stiff in his limbs, but that was nothing a little stretching could manage before a ride. As Sebestjen was mounted and checked the girth and the stirrups, William was standing and stretched the stallions front legs. After to have stretched all four limbs William patted Stormelds shoulder. "He is not what he used to be." "He is a fighter. He still have the spirit," said Sebestjen as he tightened another whole in the girth. "but you are right. His body is not at the same stage as his mind." "No... maybe time for him to retire soon. He has been active since he was one and a half year old. That is a long career for him." William observed Stormeld one last time as Sebbe walked away into the ring to perform their round in the show jumping class. "Soon Storm. Soon." said Sebbe before entering the ring to give the stallion a extra mind boost.

Show Jumping Class Starting number: --- Horse: RD's Stormeld Rider/ Handler: Sebestjen Fekete Breed: Thoroughbred Gender: Stallion Age: 17 years old Stable: Rosendal Stables Show:FWR Winter Festival Placement: 4th out of 5.
-------------------
Stormeld is one of the horses at Rosendal who have had the longest career. He went from steeplechaser to cross country and eventing to finally Endurance races... and now he goes is manily just in jumping. that means he has been active in the show ring for 15,5 years... and he is 17 now. That sure is a accomplish and he sure deserves to retire. No wonder he is a bit stiff...
And I adorer that you acctualy can see that he is older in this pic. He jumps a little stiffly and dosen't have the same bounce and collection as before. But his mind is there and he wants to please so bad in the ring... but, his body is old... maybe just tiny shows from now on, and loads of rest between the shows.
