As the sun sank down to touch the earth, Kei was walking Lascivio after their turbulent day at the Grand Prix. After to have received a cooling shower Kei had walked him for quite some time in the waiting for him to get dry. She held her hand on his head and pushed him back when he tried to get ahead of her, and after a while he quite gave up but he had a sulky expression on as he walked dully.
"How did you do it?!" cried William as Kei and Lascivio trotted out the arena after their ride. This was how it had happened when they came out to meet William and to leave the full arena. Kei tried to hold Lascivio back, but he was going. He had no thoughts of stopping and William jumped to her rescue and grasped the reins as Lascivio shook his head sulkily, making foam splatter down Williams arm. "How did you do it?!" Kei looked down at him as she tried to make sense of what he was saying. "What-" she breathed, trying to concentrate, "what I did?!" She had such a problem to concentrate and building up sentences. After to have breathed in and out a little while she pointed shakily to Lascivio's head. "Bit. Apple." William looked at the bit "what have you done with the bit?" He looked closer and pulled away Lascivio's upper lip to see what Kei meant. Lascivio got irritated by this treatment and kicked irritated away his own tail.
Kei glided off swiftly, eager to get off before Lascivio would decide he had cooperated enough for today and as she did William looked at the bit, quite in a little wonder as Kei rested her hands against her knees with her head between the legs, breathing out heavily. "You have replaced his bit..." said William and looked at Kei. "Apple." Kei nodded at the bit. "I figured out he likes sweets... and he behaves when he gets it. So- So I gave him apple. Sort of..."
That was how it had happened. Kei had replaced the steel dressage bit into a rubber bit with apple flavor. This was what had made Lascivio able to work with. He had focused so hard on the flavor of the bit, that he nearly forgot to react when his rider touched him a little too hard or a little too wrong. Just imagine what just a bit can do...

That is actually what really happens at the stable were I ride horse A lot of horses that have done sport at high levels with a double of very heavy bit, do get a rubber one with apple taste instead, they actually really like it an are usually very nice to handle, they just hate the iron bits!
I told you it had something to do with 'food'
Good Job RD's!
