One day before the Olympics started, Contradictio cantered along in the training area at Fallen Angel Stables. Sara worked him slowly, warming up his stiff legs after the trip down to center Europe. He chewed his bit as he looked around at the passing horses. He even at one time went up on his hind legs as Sara misplaced her leg to far back and he told her off to keep an eye on those legs.
Behind the fence William was observing with little baby Cage in a harness against his chest. People sure noticed this and made “awwie-faces” as they past by. Cage looked around for a l long time until he fell asleep, tired to have kept his eyes open for so long and those hooves beats sure made him sleepy.
Sara held in Contra who went from a canter down to a lengthen trot. They came up to the fence where William was standing. Sara patted the old stallion as he started walking with free reins. “How did he feel?” “A little stiff maybe, but alert.” said Sara. “I will ask Kei to stretch his muscles later in the evening and give him a massage.” Oh, that sounded good in Contra’s ears who couldn’t wait for the pampering to begin as the group moved towards the paring area where their trailer awaited.
