Rare Revelation in the Dungeons

McKenzie mixed the ingredients together in her cauldron as she looked at the feather she had been given, which now lay on the table next to her. It had a grey- brownish tone and it was rather tiny. She stirred the last ingredient into the cauldron and smelled it carefully. She looked around at the other students. Some of them had already encountered with their animals, and some had encounter something that wasn’t even a animal. Mc was nervous about what her feather would be.
What if it is a martin, like my Ferdinand? A Jobberknoll? Or a eagle? Oh, a cute Golden Snidget? Why not a gorgeous Phoenix?! Or a Pegasus! A Hippogriff! Her thoughs ran away and she soon came upon creatures she didn’t want to encounter. What if it’s a Occamy?! Or a chimaera?! Oh no!

She carefully took a spoon of poison to drip on the feather, she had one eye closed as she did so, now almost unwilling to know what would appear in front of her. A drop fell down on the feather and sputtered on the subject. A bang appeared from nowhere and McKenzie pulled back.
Oh, no! Here it comes! She shrieked to her self in her mind. She saw a shape of a bird, but as soon as she saw it… it disappeared into thin air. The light beam disappeared with it and only the darkness of the dungeon was left.

McKenzie starred at the spot, with a blank expression. She looked around, but no bird. She even looked under the table, but no bird.
“Where is the bird?!” said McKenzie out loud, mostly to herself than to anyone else. After loads of searching McKenzie gave up and walked up to professor Nerome with her head hagning.
“Professor, I can’t show you my creature…” she looked at her teacher “because it disappeared…” McKenzie thought about it for a moment and suddenly realized, and said “I think it was a Diricawl. It must have been spooked and transferred it’s way out of here.” x’)

She walked back to her seat, suddenly pleased. She had seen a Diricawl! Or, almost seen one. xD

This is for McKenzie's potion class where they would do a Restoration Potion and use a feather to make it return to it's former shape So fun!

A Diricawl is a bird which stands about 1 meter... not very magical... in fact it is the Dodo bird, which muggles believes to be extinct xD It's not exctinct. It can just transfer when feeling threaten... so, very much alinve... in a kind of way
