"A toast then. For Rosendal!" said William with a smile as he raised his glass towards Emma and Kei.
"For Rosendal." Kei clinked her glass with Williams and smiled.
"For Rosendal." said Emma with her usual dead serious tone, raising her glass and clinking it briefly with the others before she drank.

William was soon invited into a company to discuss horses and of course business and Emma and Kei was left alone. Kei sipped her glass of champagne while smiling slightly as she looked around the room at the people around them. She smiled a little wider for each glance she recieved as a friendly gesture.

"-what a luck miss Long could ride your horse, miss Green!"
"-hope you feel better soon, miss Green."
"-Talk about bad luck getting sick right before the performance, miss Green."
Emma was furious as soon as someone came close to her and started talking about exactly this. How she suddenly had been caught "sick" before the performance with Lascivio. This was not the truth. But it was the truth William had told everyone and she had to go along with the lie.

After a while Emma was so sulky and irritated she frankly considered to throw her glass of champagne in Kei's face, because she had ruined her ride at the Grand Prix.
Kei looked at Emma and smiled a little. Just to be friendly and that was when she decided it was time. Time to throw the champagne in the little Asian’s pretty little face but as soon as she was about to do it a lucky star showed up and Emma was not able to do fulfill her plan in the slightest. William had returned.
"Saved by the boss. Brilliant, she thought to herself with a mutter.
