The light dazzled Nidra. The pain was gone, like everything else. She looked herself around in the bright light. The only thing she saw was fog... and a sunrise.
- But wait, if I'm dead, Nidra thought... there should be a sunset, right?
- Your time has not yet come, "replied a voice. The light scattered when a dark figure appeared in the light. He stood with his back to her and looked back with sad eyes.
Nidra could now look at the horse standing in front of her. It was Lucio.
-Your time is not over, Nidra... that is why it’s a sunrise for you. He looked into the light and the wind played in his mane and tail. He turned his head back towards Nidra. His eyes were filled with sorrow. ”Go into the light Nidra, return to the living…” She could not make herself move. She was frozen. The stallion watched her. He lowered his eyes and sighed deeply.
-You must return, Nidra ... do not stay because of me. I can not take your life, it's not mine to take... He slowly shook his head while he talked. ”You deserve life. Go into the light…” again he looked towards the light. Nidra went up to the stallion, lowered her head to his shoulders and pressed it hard against his chest. Deep inside the chest Nidra heard his beating heart beat slowly and heavy. He gasped for air when he smelled Nidra’s scent and the heartbeat increased.
-Go... he whispered, nodding toward her. She looked at him. His eyes were tearful. He had the chance to have her, forever. But he would let her go... She began to wander, to the sunrise. She disappeared into the light to return to her family.
Lucio was still standing. He did not release Nidra from his sight. A single tear rolled down his cheek and fell. He faded away, returning to the halls of dreams again…
