"I hate winter," complained Sebestjen while he blew on his fingers to stay warm. "Why don’t we hunt during the summer? Sara smiled at him while she was blowing in her own hands "Because that when they come down from the mountain to mate, we must not disrupt the harmony". "Yes, but, in summer it is easier for our horses to catch up with them!" Sebestjen pulled easily in Allan A Dale's reins. The stallion snorted tired. "Maybe so, but we must not disturb them during that time. We have to do the best of what we can during the winter, "said Sara, and asked Subsidized to start walking.
"There is one, said Sebestjen and forced Allan into a furious gallop through the thick snow. Sarah was close behind. The Hototo out on the field, turned quickly, despite its enormous weight, and ran away. It was fast. Thoroughbred who was among the fastest horses in the world had a hard time catching up to it. Allan stumbled constantly and Subsidized did the same while the Hototo in front plowed through the snow like a giant plow. After much struggle, the thoroughbreds had catch up but they were weary of the hunt. Now they must keep up with the Hototo, by leading it to a hidden trap not that far away. It was dangerous to run beside a giant Hototo, but the only way to capture it. Sara knew from experience now, not to lead a grey Hototo because it was incredibly smart. But this was a green blue horse, and probably not so dangerous.
They managed to get the Hototo in hidden pen and shut the gate behind it. Sebestjen and Sara jumped off from their horses and offered them to rest their backs for a while before they would go back to their camp again. "I wonder what happens to the others?" Sara asked and though of Madelynn and Willaim. "Probably on higher ground and looking," said Sebestjen, and gave Allan an encouraging pat on the shoulder. "Imagine if you could compete with Hototos in a race!" He glanced at the captured Hototo "It would be something out of the ordinary!" "And the earth would shake," concluded Sara and jumped back up into the saddle. Maybe I should hire some people to do this, we already have enough to do at Rosendal… though Sara as they rode on.
